The biggest mistake business owners make is believing that they are immune to fraud, whereas in reality, anyone can fall victim to it. Fraud and corruption are crimes perpetrated by very ingenious persons, often times the most trusted people within an organisation (Trust violators). Since it is a clandestine activity, these unscrupulous perpetrators of fraud or corruption do not want to be exposed and therefore try to conceal their trail as much as possible. This is why, without proactive procedures, it is not easy to prevent and detect fraud or corruption.
These vices are very difficult to be eliminated from business, government or social life since they are the product of the devil and man's depravity. What we must all strive to achieve is reduction of the incidences and impact to negligible levels. Fraud and corruption is a canker in the system, individuals and businesses lose a lot due to these wanton systematic thievery. A buddy who is training to be a Biomedical Physicist and a Radiotherapist in a chat recently, intimates that often than not, It is like the management of advanced stage cancer so that the victim lives longer with the cancer. Those who profess to be light in this dark world must let their light shine with much dependence on the source of light-the Lord Jesus. Enough of the talk, may we walk in the conviction of Integrity before God and man.
